    My reason is simple. If it 'aint broke then don't fix it. VB had a gradual improvement path from the original to VB6. VB.net, on the otherhand, is a complete departure from VB6. You can't migrate from VB6 without buying the expensive package and then it is very time consuming. I can do everything I want with VB6 so why should I fork over big bucks for .net? And have to start over learning a new language?

    VB 6 remains a very popular programming environment. But even if it wasn't as great as it is, if you're new to Visual Basic and you have a copy available, it's still a great place to start learning about programming

    With VB 6, you can create any program depending on your objective. For example, if you are a college or university lecturer, you can create educational programs to teach business, economics, engineering, computer science, accountancy , financial management, information system and more to make teaching more effective and interesting. If you are in business, you can also create business programs such as inventory management system , point-of-sale system, payroll system, financial program as well as accounting program to help manage your business and increase productivity.

    A simple reason for this why use Visual basic 6?
    it's a simple and very easy programming language to learn and i did my last project using this language because..
    VISUAL BASIC is a high level programming language which evolved from the earlier DOS version called BASIC. BASIC means Beginners' All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code.

    visual Basic 6 is the updated version of VB with some new feature like:
    1. ADODB.Recordset Object
    2. Scripting.Dictionary Object.
